Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago is seeking a Program Director to plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate programs for youth ages 5–18, aligned with Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship.

The role includes guiding club staff and volunteers, ensuring safety, measuring outcomes, and building strong community partnerships. This is a full-time position offering a comprehensive benefits package and a chance to contribute to youth development in Chicago.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university, or a combination of education/equivalent experience.
• A minimum of three years’ work experience in a youth development organization and/or social service experience working with children.
• Experience in planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of youth.
• Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement designated programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes.
• Establish program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission.
• Oversee the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals.
• Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of programs areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program area(s).
• Demonstrate leadership to assure conduct, safety and development of members.
• Measure program effectiveness.
