Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County Sun Prairie, WI seeks a Youth Development Professional (After School Teacher) at the McKenzie Family Club. This non-exempt, part-time role supports youth ages 5-12 with engaging activities across five program areas and grant-funded initiatives.

You will contribute to safe, positive programming, supervise youth, assist with attendance, and collaborate with staff and volunteers. Interviews in person at 232 Windsor Street, Sun Prairie.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with youth in after-school programs preferred.
• Must be able to obtain required clearances (background check, drug test) and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Youth for Success: create an inclusive environment and promote program participation.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for youth aged 5–12 with grant-supported outcomes.
• Maintain a Safe Environment: ensure safety, follow regulations, and manage behavior.
• Support a Professional Work Environment: collaborate with staff and volunteers and represent the Club professionally.
