Job summary

The Seattle YMCA is seeking a Program Supervisor to lead Year Round Youth Development Programs, oversee before/after school and summer day camp staff, and ensure developmentally appropriate activities. You will manage programming and quality, supervise staff, and maintain positive relationships with families and school partners at a single location with onsite duties.

This full-time onsite role starts with the school calendar, requires coordinating with site partners, and upholding safety,

Qualifications

• Three years or more of experience working with children, camps, childcare, tutoring or nannying.
• One year or more of supervisory experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Have completed 30 credits of 100-level or above college-level coursework.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to model and demonstrate Y values; caring, respect, responsibility and honesty.
• Experience planning and implementing group activities.
• We require pre-employment TB tests and MMR vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Ensures planning and implementation of culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate activities within the curriculum.
• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates child care site staff/volunteers.
• Professionally communicates with parents/guardians including newsletters and conferences.
• Follows YMCA policies including medical and disciplinary procedures.
• Maintains professional relationships with families and school personnel.
• Maintains required staff/child ratio and direct supervision of children.
• Maintain records per YMCA/DEL standards (attendance, immunizations, etc.).
• Recruit enrollment and partner with schools onsite.
• Assist with budgets and site budgets as needed.
