Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of King County in Seattle seeks a Youth Development Professional to support club leadership and deliver safe, youth-centered programs across gym, learning center and activity rooms.

You will help plan, implement and evaluate activities, track attendance and behavior data, and foster positive relationships with youth, families and community partners. A strong commitment to equity, confidentiality and ongoing training is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience working with a non-profit youth development agency.
• Must be 18+ years old to work in a licensed program.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of member data and records.
• DCYF STARS ID and portable background check required prior to start.
• Initial STARS training: basic, HIV/AIDS, First Aid, CPR, BBP within 90 days.
• COVID-19 vaccination policy and accommodation process as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaged presence to create a safe, healthy club environment.
• Maintain facilities, equipment and supplies; set up/clean areas daily.
• Assist planning, implementing and evaluating programs.
• Collect attendance, coursework and behavior data.
• Model professional conduct and positive youth development.
• Build partnerships with parents, families and community partners.
• Deliver High Yield Learning Activities (HYLAs) and BGCA core programs.
• Ensure confidentiality of member information and school data.
