Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain is seeking a Youth Development Professional to plan, organize, promote, and implement diversified programs across core youth development areas. Under unit supervision, you will foster a positive learning environment and guide members through engaging activities and events.

Key duties include preparing youth for success, organizing weekly plans, supervising volunteers, and ensuring safety and quality in all programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience working with youth and knowledge of youth development.
• Instruction of youth while creating engaging learning experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Ability to work well with the public.
• Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth.
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, promote, and implement a diversified program for youth development.
• Prepare youth for success and create an environment that facilitates learning outcomes.
• Promote program participation and engagement in events and activities.
• Orient new members to program areas, events, and rules.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Develop and post weekly and monthly program plans.
• Monitor and evaluate programs for safety and quality.
• Recognize member participation and achievements.
• Maintain attendance and participation records.
