YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Youth Development Leader for our before/after-school and day camp programs in Katy, TX. You will create a safe, engaging space, lead age-appropriate activities, and support daily operations while upholding YMCA values.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with a high school diploma or GED, and experience with youth in licensed settings. CPR/First Aid training is preferred or willingness to obtain. This role offers part-time shifts with opportunities for growth.

Qualifikationen

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience working with youth in a licensed facility, school, church, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Pass state/local background checks and fingerprinting.
• TB test and any required immunizations per state/local guidelines.

Aufgaben

• Create a safe, fun, and enriching environment for youth in before/after-school and day camp programs.
• Lead activities and games aligned with YMCA curriculum.
• Monitor safety, sign-in/out, and supervision across program areas.
• Foster positive behavior and inclusive environments for all youth.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and school staff.
