Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a part-time Youth Development Leader in The Woodlands to run before/after school and day camp activities. You will create a safe, engaging environment, lead games, and support youth growth while building relationships with families and fellow staff.

Earn base pay $13.00 per hour, plus a temporary $3.00 per hour stipend for eligible programs serving Katy ISD, Conroe ISD, and Humble ISD.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience working with youth in a licensed facility, school, church, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Ability to pass state/local background checks and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, engaging before/after school activities for youth.
• Support day camp programs with energy, creativity, and compassion.
• Monitor headcounts and enforce YMCA safety policies.
• Build positive relationships with youth, families, and staff.
• Follow child-protection policies and sign-in/out procedures.
