Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Youth Development Leader to support before/after school and day camp programs in our community. This PART-TIME role offers hands-on kids programming, supervision, and a chance to foster safe, engaging environments.

Base pay is $13.00 per hour with a temporary $3.00 per hour stipend for eligible locations. You’ll lead activities, build relationships with youth and families, and ensure safety and licensing standards are met.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and able to pass background checks.
• Experience with youth in a licensed facility or school is preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and child abuse prevention training or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe, engaged, and supervised at all times.
• Lead age-appropriate activities and YMCA curriculum.
• Model YMCA values: honesty, respect, responsibility, caring, faith.
• Support daily operations and maintain a clean, safe space.
• Build positive relationships with youth, families, and staff.
• Follow sign-in/out procedures and licensing requirements.
