Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Youth Development Leader to support before/after-school and day camp programs in Spring, TX. You’ll bring energy, creativity, and compassion to create a safe, engaging environment for youth.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, promoting positive behavior, and building strong relationships with children, families, and staff while upholding YMCA values.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience with youth in a licensed facility, school, church, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Clear background checks and fingerprinting.
• TB test and immunizations as per state/local guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, fun, and enriching environment for youth.
• Monitor safety and supervise activities following YMCA policies.
