Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is hiring a Youth Development Leader in Fulshear, TX for before/after school and day camp programs. You’ll bring energy, creativity, and a caring approach to create a safe, enriching environment for youth.

Join a mission-driven team, lead engaging activities, and build strong relationships with families and school partners. This part-time role offers flexible schedules, hands-on training, and opportunities to grow within a supportive community.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience working with youth in a licensed facility, school, church, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Ability to pass state/local background checks and fingerprinting.
• TB test and any required immunizations per state/local guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, engaging before/after school and day camp program.
• Create a fun, enriching environment where youth feel supported.
• Follow YMCA policies and training to respond to situations.
• Lead activities and adapt to diverse needs.
• Build relationships with youth, families, school staff, and team.
