Job summary

Daybreak Inc. is seeking a Care Support Specialist to assist YYAs experiencing homelessness by promoting safety, life skills, and supportive care in a trauma-informed residential setting.

The role emphasizes crisis intervention, empathetic guidance, and collaboration with clinical staff to implement individualized plans and ensure overall well-being and stability for clients across a 24/7 facility, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 5 years’ social services experience.
• Associate’s degree with 2 years of related experience.
• Two years of direct work with youth/YYAs; homelessness experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Foster a trauma-informed residential environment and support YYAs in daily living activities.
• Lead structured groups on coping skills, life skills, and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with case managers and clinical staff to coordinate care and goals.
• Monitor safety, crisis intervention, and incident reporting; maintain clean, organized spaces.
