Job summary

Daybreak in Dayton, OH seeks a Care Support Specialist for a PRN, part-time role focused on supporting youth and young adults experiencing homelessness. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or related field preferred.
• Five (5) years of experience in social services or a related setting required.
• Two (2) years of experience working directly with youth and young adults; homelessness or housing instability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Foster a welcoming, trauma-informed residential environment that respects autonomy and dignity.
• Assist YYAs in daily living activities, hygiene, housekeeping, time management, and meal preparation.
• Lead structured groups focused on coping skills, emotional regulation, life skills, and related topics.
• Provide daily face-to-face crisis intervention and stabilization services; support with conflict resolution and coping strategies.
• Document shift events, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with agency procedures.
