Job summary

Daybreak in Dayton, OH is seeking a Care Support Specialist to support YYAs experiencing homelessness by fostering a safe, stable, and supportive environment. You will help with life skills, crisis intervention, and collaboration with clinical staff to promote well-being and stability.

The role is PRN, with up to 30 hours per week, including potential evenings, overnights, and weekends. You will work as part of a trauma-informed team dedicated to compassionate, client-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 5 years in social services or related field.
• Or an Associate’s degree with 2 years in social services.
• At least 2 years direct work with youth/YYAs; homelessness experience preferred.
• PRN requires at least one shift per month and one holiday shift per year.

Responsibilities

• Foster a welcoming, trauma-informed residential environment.
• Support YYAs in daily living activities and life skills.
• Lead structured groups and coordinate with team on resident activities.
• Monitor and maintain communal spaces and safety.
• Document shifts and complete required forms within deadlines.
• Collaborate with case managers and clinical staff for coordinated care.
