Job summary

CAMBA is seeking an Advocate Counselor for the Learning to Work (LTW) program at Judith S. Kaye High School in New York. You will perform intake, assess student and family needs, and connect them to community resources while maintaining strict confidentiality.

You will document progress in Enginuity, maintain student files, and collaborate with school staff to support students toward graduation. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field and fingerprint clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field is required.
• Ability to adapt to the culture and environment of a public school.
• Ability to write assessments, student goals, progress notes, weekly reports, and general correspondence.
• Must obtain Dept. of Education fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional relationships with students and student confidentiality.
• Conduct initial intake and assessment of students and families’ situations and needs.
• Create and maintain student files and track attendance daily.
• Identify community resources and make referrals to services.
• Enter data into CAMBA’s Enginuity system and create narrative case notes.
• Prepare reports and maintain monthly records for program oversight.
