CAMBA is seeking an Advocate Counselor for the Learning to Work program in New York, focusing on students aged 15-21 and coordinating care to help them graduate.

You will assess needs, connect families to resources, and maintain records while collaborating with schools and CAMBA staff to remove barriers to success. Bachelor's degree required; bilingual preferred. Compensation includes a full-time schedule and strong benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field and applicable experience.
• Ability to adapt to the culture and environment of a public school.
• Ability to write assessments, student goals, progress notes, weekly reports, and general correspondence.

Aufgaben

• Maintain professional relationships with students and student confidentiality.
• Conduct intake and assessment of students and families' situations and needs.
• Create and maintain student files.
• Assist students in attaining their goals by locating resources and making referrals.
• Track student attendance daily.
• Reach out to absent students daily.
• Counsel students regularly in CAMBA offices, by phone, or home visits.
• Work with students to remove barriers to graduation and advocate for themselves.
• Follow-up with graduates for one year after graduation.
