Equus Workforce Solutions seeks local candidates in Dayton to recruit youth for the Job Corps program and to coordinate enrollment across residential and non-residential options. You will interface with outreach partners, conduct targeted community events, and ensure compliance with government directives.

The role emphasizes outreach, interviews with applicants and parents, and travel coordination to support placements while maintaining QA on files and a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field or equivalent experience.
• Associate’s degree plus two years related experience in Job Corps outreach or youth development programs.
• Experience working with diverse youth.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.

Responsabilités

• Recruit eligible and suitable youth for Job Corps Program.
• Interface with outreach contractors and determine student qualifications for enrollment in various programs.
• Conduct outreach activities in communities, agencies, and public events.
• Meet departmental and center goals and objectives.
• Conduct orientation and interview with applicants including parent in case of minors.
• Perform applicant files procedures (data entry, scan documents).
• Coordinate with centers to support applicants in travel arrangements.
• Perform Quality Assurance Checks on all applicant files.
• Foster a safe space and model employability skills.
• Attend required staff training opportunities.
