Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions seeks an Outreach and Admissions professional in Dayton, OH to recruit eligible youth for Job Corps and coordinate enrollment processes. You will collaborate with outreach partners, conduct community events, interview applicants, and ensure compliance with program requirements.

Your role involves guiding applicants, performing file QA, coordinating travel, and maintaining safety and professionalism across the center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications or closely related field.
• Associate’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications or closely related field with two years related experience; may include Job Corps outreach/admissions experience.

Responsibilities

• Recruit eligible and suitable youth for Job Corps Program.
• Interface with outreach contractors and determine student qualifications for enrollment.
• Conduct outreach activities in communities, agencies, American Job Centers, and public events.
• Meet departmental and center goals and objectives.
• Conduct orientation and interviews with applicants, including parents for minors.
• Process applicant files (data entry, scan documents).
• Interface with at‑risk students.
• Coordinate travel arrangements for applicants.
• Perform Quality Assurance on all applicant files.
• Clearly communicate and model employability skills.
• Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property.
• Adhere to safety practices across responsibilities.
• Foster a safe, harassment‑free environment and supportive work culture.
• Attend required staff training opportunities.
