Job summary

Hot 8 Yoga in New York City is expanding and seeking a growth-driven Director to join the management team. The role requires leading teachers and front desk staff, managing payroll, budgeting, and daily studio operations while maintaining a strong customer experience.

The ideal candidate holds a 200-hour RYT certificate, has previous management experience, and is willing to teach multiple classes on the schedule, including Power, Barre, and Yin. In-person studio responsibilities are emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire and train teachers and front desk staff.
• Work a minimum of 40 in-studio hours per week.
• Be present at the studio during peak business hours (evenings and weekends).
• Track studio budget and address day-to-day maintenance needs.
• Process payroll and oversee inventory.
• Run 5 Front Desk shifts and lead teacher trainings.
• Lead and manage teachers and front desk staff; lots of cleaning daily.

Responsibilities include:

• Interviewing, hiring and training teachers and front desk staff
• Working a minimum of 40 in-studio hours per week
• Being present at the studio during peak business hours (evenings and weekends)
• Tracking studio budget
• Addressing day-to-day maintenance needs
• Processing payroll
• Oversee inventory
• Work 5 Front Desk shifts
• Lots of cleaning - all day every day!
• Lead Teacher Trainings
• Lead and manager teachers and front desk staff

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Holidays
• Weekend availability

Candidates must have a 200-hour RYT certificate and are required to teach classes on the schedule (Power, Power 1, Barre, Sculpt, Hot Power Fusion, Yin).

Previous management experience is required.

• Hot 8 Yoga to pay 60% of Health, Dental and Vision insurance (up to $535/month)
• Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000/year
