Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is seeking a Senior Group Leader for the School Age program at the Sterling site. The role focuses on creating a positive environment for early learners and supporting other staff, with afternoon/evening hours.

Responsibilities include leading activities for ages 3–10, designing developmentally appropriate plans, mentoring Group Leaders, communicating with families, and ensuring safety and well-being in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with children ages 3–6 in a licensed or educational setting.
• High school diploma or GED required; CDA or early childhood coursework strongly preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills required.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience fostering an environment for children of all abilities is valued.

Location: YMCA (Loudoun County locations)
Compensation:$15.50 per hour
Schedule:Part-Time | Afternoon/Evening Hours | School Year
