Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Yearbook Activity Sponsor at Proviso West High School. The sponsor will organize, supervise, and promote a student club in alignment with district goals, serving as mentor and liaison to ensure a safe, inclusive extracurricular experience.

Responsibilities include supervising meetings and events, obtaining approvals, enforcing eligibility, and coordinating logistics. A valid IL PEL or related certification is preferred; stipend is issued per district agreement and

Responsibilities

Provide active and effective supervision for all club-related activities, meetings, events, field trips, and practices.
Ensure off-campus activities are approved through district procedures and that permissions and transportation are completed.
Comply with Illinois law as a mandated reporter and complete required training.
Prepare students for participation and clearly define expectations and responsibilities.
Guide students in planning meaningful, inclusive activities aligned with the club’s mission and values.
Coordinate logistics and facility usage with school personnel to ensure safe events.
Promote student involvement and model positive interpersonal relationships.
Provide leadership opportunities that foster teamwork and shared decision-making.
