Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Library Club Sponsor at Proviso Math & Science Academy in Illinois. The sponsor will organize and supervise a student library club, mentor students, and ensure a safe, inclusive extracurricular experience in alignment with district policies.

The role is an extra-duty, non-tenure position with stipend eligibility. Responsibilities include coordinating activities, ensuring approvals, reporting, and collaboration with teachers and staff to support student academic balance

• Willingness to take responsibility for all duties associated with the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for all club activities, meetings, events, and practices.
• Ensure off-campus activities are approved and that permission slips/transportation comply with policy.
• Comply with mandated reporting obligations under Illinois law.
• Prepare students for participation and clearly define expectations and responsibilities.
• Coordinate logistics and facility usage for safe, well-organized events.
• Promote student involvement through positive relationships and leadership opportunities.
• Maintain open communication with stakeholders regarding club operations and events.
• Enforce attendance, behavior, eligibility, and participation standards.
