Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Transportation Associate in Spartanburg, SC to perform trailer moves in the yard, coordinate yard activities, and support operations across multiple vehicle types to keep trailers arriving and departing on time. Qualifications

Hold a valid and active driver's license.
High School or equivalent diploma.
Candidates must be 21 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirement and safety guidelines in English.
Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach and ascend/descend stairs.
Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

Make safety a priority by following policies for all vehicle operators and yard entrants.
Coordinate yard activities to ensure trailers arrive and depart on time with zero defects.
Operate CMVs on non-public roads or yard to move trailers to/from dock and parking.
Learn and comply with DOT regulations and Amazon policies.
Complete driver vehicle inspection reports and notify managers of issues.
Follow hostler and delivery schedules, track and report working hours and breaks as per policy.
Support the business on an as-needed basis by serving as a peer trainer and/or working at nearby site locations within the area.
Drive, maneuver, and load/unload a truck using pallet jack and other approved equipment.
