Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Phoenix is seeking Transportation Associates to support the company's transportation network by performing trailer moves in the yard, coordinating yard activities, and completing required driver training programs.

You will operate multiple vehicle types, adhere to safety regulations, and participate in DOT-related duties. The role offers outdoor work experience, CDL training potential paid by Amazon, and long-term growth through in-house transportation training.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid and active driver's license.
• High School or equivalent diploma.
• Candidates must be 21 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirement and safety guidelines in English.
• Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach and ascend/descend stairs
• Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Responsibilities

• Make safety a priority by following rules and regulations.
• Perform various functions within the yard to support site operations and ensure on-time trailer movements with zero defects.
• Operate CMVs on non-public roads or in yard to move trailers to/from dock and parking locations.
• Learn and comply with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Complete driver vehicle inspection reports and notify managers of issues.
• Follow schedules, track working hours and breaks, and adhere to safety policies.
• Support the business by training peers and working at nearby site locations as needed.
• Drive, maneuver, and load/unload trucks using approved equipment.
