Job summary

Amazon is hiring Transportation Associates to move trailers, coordinate yard activities, and support the transportation network. You will learn DOT regulations, complete inspections, and ensure on-time arrivals with safety at the forefront.

You may train for CDL, work a flexible schedule, and gain exposure to multiple Amazon site types. Starting pay ranges up to 25.15 USD/hour, with potential benefits and overtime.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid and active driver’s license.
• High School or equivalent diploma.
• Candidates must be 21 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirement and safety guidelines in English.
• Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach.
• Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Experience with CDL or willingness to obtain CDL is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make safety a priority by enforcing policies for all yard operations.
• Coordinate yard activities to ensure on-time trailer arrivals and departures.
• Operate CMVs on non-public roads or yard to move trailers.
• Learn and comply with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Complete driver vehicle inspection reports and report issues.
• Track working hours and adhere to shifts and breaks per policy.
• Support nearby site locations as peer trainer as needed.
• Drive, maneuver, and load/unload trucks using approved equipment.
