Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Transportation Associate in West Columbia, SC to support the transportation network by moving trailers, coordinating yard activities, and training drivers. You will operate yard equipment, perform vehicle inspections, and help ensure on-time trailer departures.

Responsibilities include safety enforcement, working with internal teams and carriers, driving CMVs on yard roads, and adhering to DOT and Amazon policies.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to operate yard equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and enforce policies for all operators and yard entrants.
• Move trailers and support yard operations to keep trailers moving.
• Operate CMVs on yard roads to move trailers to docks and parking.
• Complete driver training and adhere to DOT and Amazon rules.
• Perform vehicle inspections and report issues to management.
• Track hours and breaks per policy and regulations.
• Support other site locations as needed.
