Job summary

Amazon is seeking Transportation Associates to move trailers in the yard, coordinate yard activities, and support the company’s transportation network. You will learn DOT regulations, complete vehicle inspections, and work with various vehicle types to ensure timely trailer movements.

Positions emphasize safety, flexibility, and potential CDL training funded by Amazon, with opportunities to train at multiple site types and participate in ongoing transportation operations improvements.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid and active driver’s license.
• 21 years or older with ability to understand safety guidelines in English.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for long shifts.
• Willingness to work 40 hours/week with overtime and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety by enforcing rules for all yard and vehicle operators.
• Coordinate yard activities and support site operations to keep trailers arriving and departing on time.
• Operate CMVs on non-public roads or in yard to move trailers to/from dock and parking locations.
• Learn and comply with DOT regulations and Amazon policies.
• Complete vehicle inspections and report issues to management.
• Track hours and breaks per policy and driving schedules.
