Job summary

Amazon is hiring Transportation Associates in Oakley, CA to manage yard operations, trailer moves, and coordination with carriers. You will learn and apply DOT regulations, safety policies, and equipment operation, including CMVs in yard settings and potentially on roads.

Applicants must hold a valid driver's license, be 21+, and able to lift 49 pounds with standing/walking up to 12 hours. Training toward CDL and DQF may be provided based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid and active driver’s license.
• High School or equivalent diploma.
• 21 years or older with ability to understand and adhere to English requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk for shifts up to 12 hours.
• Work 40 hours/week with overtime as required.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform yard movements and prepare trailers for departures.
• Coordinate yard activities and communication with operations and carriers.
• Train and certify in CDL-related requirements when needed.
• Follow DOT regulations and Amazon safety policies.
• Complete driver vehicle inspection reports and report issues.
• Drive/operate CMVs on yard and non-public roads as needed.
