Job summary

Amazon is seeking Transportation Associates to manage trailer moves in the yard, coordinate yard activities, and support transportation operations across the network.

Responsibilities include safety compliance, DOT rule adherence, vehicle inspections, and aiding site teams and carriers to ensure timely trailer arrivals and departures. CDL training and on-the-job truck operations are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid and active driver's license.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Can lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk up to 12 hours.
• Work 40 hours per week with overtime as required.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.
• Ability to understand and adhere to English job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Make safety a priority by following rules and policies for all vehicle operators and yard entrants.
• Perform yard functions to support site operations, ensure on-time trailer movement with zero defects.
• Operate CMVs on yards/roads to move trailers to/from dock and parking locations.
• Learn and comply with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Complete driver vehicle inspection reports and notify management of issues.
• Follow schedules, track working hours, and obey traffic laws.
• Provide peer training and support at nearby site locations as needed.
• Drive, maneuver, and load/unload trucks using approved equipment.
