Job summary

Federal Express Corporation in the United States is seeking a yard worker responsible for moving trailers to and from unload/load doors and throughout the yard. This role may also involve hand loading, unloading and sorting packages, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

You will switch trailers, coordinate with management, document movements, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and work with hand-to-surface package handling.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow safety instructions and work duties.
• Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages correctly.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard and doors (unload/load).
• Coordinate trailer movements with management/Ccentral control.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
