Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to follow safety instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages correctly.
• Experience operating dock equipment and basic handling tools.
• Six (6) months of package handler or switching/CDL operator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard and doors and/or between doors and yard.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control.
• Document trailer moves using available yard management tools.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Sort and load/unload packages onto vehicles and conveyors as required.
