Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Yard Switcher/Package Handler to move trailers between yards and doors, and to assist with loading and unloading packages. The role requires attention to safety and accuracy in package sorting and scanning in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include performing trailer switches, coordinating movements with supervision, documenting actions, and conducting basic inspections.

Qualificações

• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions regarding work duties and safety methods.
• Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
• No experience required; six (6) months of package handler or switching/CDL operator experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform trailer switches by hooking and moving a parked trailer from the yard to a load/unload door or from a door to the yard.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control.
• Document trailer moves using the Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Load and unload packages onto or from delivery vehicles, trailers, conveyor system carts and load gratings.
• Sort packages by reading labels or charts and scanning as required.
