Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions regarding work duties and safety methods.
• Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages correctly.
• Ability to operate basic tools and equipment such as scanners and carts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer switches by hooking and moving a parked trailer between yard and doors.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control.
• Document trailer moves using yard management systems or switcher cards.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Perform package handling: load/unload, sort, and move packages safely.
• Follow safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
