Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow instruction regarding work duties and safety methods.
• Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages correctly.

Responsibilities

• Moves trailers between yard and doors; switches trailers per yard plan.
• Communicates with management to coordinate trailer movements in the yard.
• Documents trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Loads and unloads packages onto consecutive vehicles, conveyors, and carts.
• Sorts packages by scanning labels and numbers to determine proper conveyor path.
