Responsibilities

• Performs trailer switches moving a parked trailer from the yard to a load/unload door or from a door to the yard.
• Coordinates trailer movements with management/central control.
• Documents trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Loads and unloads packages onto or from delivery vehicles, trailers, and conveyor systems.
• Sorts packages by scanning labels and numbers to determine the correct conveyor path.
