Job summary

RB Global Inc. is seeking a Yard Supervisor for our large-volume Austin, TX branch. You will oversee a sizable team, monitor lot inventory, prepare vehicles for auctions, and maintain the yard to support efficient operations and customer service.

You will lead safety compliance, train staff, and coordinate with customers and towers. A strong supervisory background, basic mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work outdoors year-round are essential. Travel ~10% is required.

Qualifications

• Basic automotive repair and general mechanical knowledge of vehicles.
• Proficiency with handheld PDA.
• Basic operation of a forklift or loader.
• Ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
• Strong supervisory experience.
• Maintain professional and clean appearance.
• Must communicate effectively with team and customers.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors year-round; climb on/off large equipment.
• Travel about 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety policies.
• Keep the facility presentable for day-to-day operations.
• Train staff to perform duties timely and efficiently to meet SLAs.
• Educate staff on vehicle enhancements to increase auction value.
• Monitor lot inventory and infrastructure; perform daily yard walks.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding missing belongings and vehicle condition.
• Recommend or perform personnel actions such as hiring or disciplinary actions.
• Adapt duties as business needs change.
• Apply security, maintenance, and safety procedures to protect assets.
• Ensure use of PPE and hazard awareness to prevent accidents.
• Follow regulations related to handling hazardous materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
