Job summary

RB Global Inc. seeks a Yard Supervisor to lead a large team at a high-volume branch, overseeing vehicle prep, lot inventory, and safety compliance. You will monitor operations, train staff, and maintain a safe, presentable facility while ensuring customer needs and SLAs are met.

The role requires strong supervision, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work outdoors year-round with about 10% travel. Applicants should have leadership experience, forklift/loader familiarity, and proficiency

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Basic automotive repair; mechanical knowledge of vehicles.
• Proficiency with handheld PDA.
• Basic forklift or loader operation.
• Able to interact effectively with customers and staff.
• Physically able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Aware of hazards when operating heavy equipment.
• Strong supervisory experience and professional appearance.
• Effective communication with team and customers.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe work environment and enforce training deadlines.
• Keep the facility presentable for day-to-day operations.
• Train staff to perform duties timely and efficiently to meet SLAs.
• Educate staff on vehicle enhancements to increase auction value and profitability.
• Monitor lot inventory and infrastructure with daily walks to prevent loss.
• Respond to customer inquiries about missing belongings, damages, and locations.
• Recommend or perform personnel actions such as hiring and reviews.
• Adhere to security, maintenance, and safety procedures for assets.
• Follow safety PPE usage and industry regulations for hazardous materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
