Job summary

Ritchie Bros. is seeking a Yard Supervisor for a large-volume North Carolina branch. You will supervise a team, oversee lot inventory and ensure vehicles and parts are prepared for auctions.

The role requires leadership experience, basic automotive knowledge, and ability to operate forklifts and handheld PDAs, with travel up to 10%. You will enforce safety policies and maintain a tidy, secure yard while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Basic automotive repair knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe work environment with adherence to safety policies and deadlines.
• Ensure facility is presentable for day-to-day operations.
• Monitor and train staff to meet SLAs and client expectations.
• Educate staff on vehicle enhancements to increase auction value.
• Monitor lot inventory and infrastructure; perform yard/fence walks.
• Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Recommend or perform personnel actions as needed.
• Duties subject to change based on business needs.
• Apply safety procedures to protect assets.
