Job summary

RB Global is seeking a Yard Supervisor to lead a large team at a busy branch. You will monitor lot inventory, prep vehicles for auctions, and optimize loading and staging of equipment and parts.

You will ensure safety, train staff, and interact with customers and towers to resolve issues. The role requires strong supervisory experience and the ability to work in outdoor and indoor environments year-round, with travel up to 10% of the time.

Qualifications

• Basic automotive repair knowledge
• Proficient with handheld PDA
• Able to operate a forklift or loader
• Able to interact effectively with customers & towers
• Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, and walk for reasonable periods
• Strong supervisory experience
• Professional and clean appearance
• Able to communicate with team and customers
• Able to work indoors/outdoors year-round
• Travel about 10% of the time

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe work environment, ensuring safety policies are followed.
• Maintain a presentable facility for day-to-day operations.
• Monitor and train staff to perform core duties efficiently to meet SLAs and client expectations.
• Educate staff on vehicle enhancements to increase auction value and profitability.
• Monitor lot inventory and infrastructure with routine yard walks to prevent loss.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding missing items, vehicle condition, and locations.
• Recommend or implement personnel actions such as raises, reviews, hiring, or discipline.
• Duties may change with business needs.
• Apply safety procedures to protect company and customer assets.
