Job summary

BlueLinx Holdings Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a Class A CDL truck driver to securely load and deliver freight, with a schedule from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, home every night and weekend. You will operate flatbed or curtain side trailers, using straps instead of tarps, and work with new equipment across a predictable route.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Safe Driving Record.
• Ability to secure loads.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping - ONLY strapping.
• 15-20% Running loads, the rest will be Yard Jockey.
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required.
