Job summary

Target is seeking a Yard Driver to move tractors/trailers in the yard and support distribution center operations. You will back trailers into doors, maintain communication with Dispatch, and follow safety procedures to ensure timely task completion.

The role emphasizes safe operation, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team within a fast-paced distribution center environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license for state employment.
• Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude.
• Ability to lift/carry materials up to 60 lbs infrequently and 30 lbs frequently.
• Able to read trailer numbers and safety procedures.
• Basic math skills and ability to operate computer systems after training.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate tractors/trailers in the yard safely.
• Back up trailers into dock and yard locations with precision.
• Communicate with Dispatch and Yard Coordinators via radio.
• Perform routine safety inspections and complete tasks on time.
