Job summary

Reardon Yacht Consulting in Fort Lauderdale seeks a Head of Crew Placement to lead the department and grow its footprint. You will blend hands-on recruitment from captain to galley with a focus on winning new business, leading a small, collaborative team and reporting to the President and the Director of Finance.

The role requires yacht-crew recruitment experience, leadership capability, strong sales acumen, and superb communication.

Qualifications

• Three+ years in yacht crew recruitment, with some leadership experience.
• Hands-on experience aboard a yacht or with a brokerage/management firm.
• Sales capability, converting conversations into clients.
• Strong knowledge of crew roles and certification requirements.
• Discretion and excellent written/spoken communication.
• Excellent organizational skills to run multiple searches.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Crew Placement team, report to senior leadership.
• Manage searches from brief to placement with full requirements.
• Advertise roles and source candidates via Yotspot, Crelate, referrals, and networks.
• Interview and assess candidates for technical ability and fit.
• Present shortlists and guide interviews and offers.
• Maintain relationships to support long-term retention and GDPR data.
• Represent RYC at boat shows and crew events.
• Grow private client base and turn placements into repeat business.
• Build relationships with yacht managers to make Crew Placement the first call.
• Collaborate with Marketing on job promotion and industry content.
