Reardon Yacht is seeking an experienced Chief Officer for a 50m private/charter motor yacht. This hands-on role requires leading the deck team, maintaining elevated standards, and actively participating in tender operations, watersports and guest activities to support a dynamic charter program.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, safety-conscious and capable of mentoring crew, with a proven track record on large yachts.

Qualifikationen

• OOW certification is the minimum requirement.
• Previous Chief Officer experience on yachts of similar size preferred.
• All STCW, medical and relevant professional certifications current.
• Passport/visa and required certificates should ideally have 12 months validity remaining.
• Strong references and longevity preferred.

CHIEF OFFICER – 50M PRIVATE/CHARTER MOTOR YACHT

Start Date: Mid-November 2026

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Chief Officer to join an established and very busy 50m private/charter motor yacht with fantastic owners, professional management and a strong, close-knit crew.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Chief Officer who enjoys being actively involved on deck, takes pride in maintaining a yacht to a high standard and wants to become an integral part of a successful, dynamic program.

The vessel operates a very active charter schedule, offering excellent earning potential through gratuities alongside a strong overall employment package.

THE ROLE

This is very much a hands-on Chief Officer position and not a predominantly administrative role.

While the Chief Officer will naturally be responsible for the organization, safety, training and management of the deck department, we are looking for someone who is equally comfortable picking up a chamois, handling lines, launching toys, driving tenders and working alongside the deck team.

The successful candidate should lead from the front and set the standard through their own work ethic.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• OOW certification as a minimum
• Previous Chief Officer experience, preferably aboard yachts of a similar size
• All STCW, medical and relevant professional certification current
• Passport, visas, medical and required certificates must ideally have at least 12 months' validity remaining
• Strong references
• Proven longevity preferred
• Videography/content creation skills would be a definite bonus
