Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care in Cookeville, TN is seeking experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our team. The role includes performing x-ray procedures, operating equipment, and assisting with Medical Assistant duties in a busy urgent care setting.

Full-time schedule features 36–40 hours weekly with 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend; PRN options available. BLS, TN X-ray license, and MA experience are preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification is required.
• TN State X-Ray License is required.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promptly greets patients and guides them through the exam process.
• Performs x-ray testing and ensures proper anatomy and safety processes.
• Operates diagnostic equipment, develops film, and prepares the room.
• Maintains documentation and patient vital signs as appropriate.
• Assists with front desk tasks and patient transfers.
• Ensures radiation safety and proper shielding techniques are followed.
• Maintains licensure and certification for radiology equipment.
