Job summary
Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care in Cookeville, TN seeks experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our team. You will perform x-ray exams, position patients, ensure safety, and assist with Medical Assistant duties as needed.
The role requires caring for patients, maintaining equipment, and following regulatory procedures. Full-time shifts include 36–40 hours weekly with some weekend rotation; PRN options are available based on staffing needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- BLS Certification.
- TN State X-Ray License.
- ARRT Certification preferred.
- Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients promptly in waiting and exam areas.
- Operate diagnostic X-ray equipment and develop/ review images.
- Maintain patient safety and radiation protection procedures.
- Record and document vital signs and pertinent medical history.
- Assist with front desk check-in/out procedures as needed.
- Ensure equipment is functioning and report malfunctions.
