Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies in a multi-site setting. The role requires accurate patient positioning, safety-focused operation of imaging equipment, and documentation in the EMR system.

Applicants should have ARRT certification, a related Associate's degree, and about one year of radiation safety and patient care experience. Travel to facilities may be required to support providers and patient care needs.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care preferred
• Experience with Radiology Information System (RIS) preferred

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization equipment to ensure safety and professionalism.
• Accurately documents patient encounters within EMR.
• Determines and selects proper electronic factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
• Travel to other facilities as needed and may adjust hours per manager.Directs sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination.
• Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunctions and necessary repairs.
