Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. CareNow urgent care in Austin is seeking a qualified X-ray Tech to join our patient-centered team. You will perform imaging per orders, update charts, and support check-in/check-out while maintaining accurate records.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year clinical experience, EHR familiarity, and a valid radiology license (GMRT/LMRT/NCT) in Texas. AAMA certification is preferred and BLS is required within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• Experience using an EHR system.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) is required.
• GMRT/LMRT/NCT license in state residency.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Federal Breath Alcohol and Federal Drug Screening cert within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services per provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs for in-house and sent-out labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
