Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Radiology Tech/Medical Assistant with a clinical focus to support patient care at CareNow. The role combines imaging services with patient-facing duties in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

You will perform vital signs, EKGs, IM injections, X-ray procedures, and maintain accurate documentation in the EHR. After training, you will obtain required licenses and certifications while contributing to a patient-centered team.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist, ARRT Certification required.
• GMRT license in state of residency if required by the state.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.
• Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
• Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
• Within 30 days of employment or promotion, must obtain and maintain state license (if required by the state) for Office Laboratory Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKGs, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and updates patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and documenting EHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
