Job summary

MD Now is seeking a X-ray Technician / Medical Assistant to join our patient-focused urgent care team in Florida. This role supports imaging, vital signs, injections, and chart updates, contributing to efficient, high-quality care without requiring an appointment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of clinical experience, familiarity with EHRs, and a valid RT or BMXO/BMO license in the state of residency. We offer comprehensive benefits and daytime clinic hours.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• Experience using an EHR system.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) required.
• RT or BMXO/BMO license in state of residency is required.
• Current AAMA certification preferred.
• Current BLS Certification required within 30 days.
• Must obtain Breath Alcohol Screening and Drug Screening Certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
