Job summary

MD Now in Florida is hiring an X-ray Technician / Medical Assistant to support patient care and imaging services in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The role includes vital signs, EKGs, IM injections, X-ray imaging, and documentation in the EHR, with a license requirement for RT or BMXO and a preferred AAMA certification. BLS and drug/alcohol screenings are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• 1+ year clinical experience in patient care preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• RT or BMXO/BMO license required in state of residency.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Breath Alcohol and Drug screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect specimens, perform EKGs and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart audits.
• Maintain records for in-house and sent-out lab work.
