Job summary

MD Now Urgent Care is hiring a X-ray Technician / Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced clinic. The role combines radiologic imaging with clinical tasks, requiring experience in patient care, EHR usage, and relevant certifications.

You will take vital signs, perform imaging, document in the EHR, and assist with check-in/check-out while maintaining accurate records and patient communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistants program or completion of approved program (BOTP) required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or BMXO/BMO license required in state of residency.
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• AAMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs for in-house lab work and external lab tests.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
